Overview:
Freyssinet USA, a specialized civil engineering contractor focused on delivering innovative solutions in infrastructure repair and strengthening, is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Equipment and Inventory Coordinator to support daily operations for the Southeast region.
This role is essential to ensuring that materials, tools, and equipment are organized, well maintained, and readily available to support project needs. The position is primarily based in the warehouse, where the coordinator will assist with inventory control, equipment readiness, and general operational flow. In addition, the role includes periodic CDL required deliveries to project sites across the region, providing critical support in meeting field logistics and scheduling demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Inventory Coordination (Primary Focus)
- Support the daily organization and upkeep of warehouse operations, ensuring equipment and materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Assist with receiving, sorting, labeling, and placing materials and equipment in designated areas.
- Help maintain inventory accuracy by participating in routine counts, verifying stock levels, and reporting discrepancies or needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams to prepare equipment for upcoming projects, including gathering, staging, and documenting items prior to delivery or dispatch.
- Assist in monitoring the general condition of tools and equipment, noting repairs, replacements, or maintenance needs.
- Promote a safe working environment by following company policies and maintaining clear, orderly warehouse spaces.
Equipment Handling & Operational Support
- Support the movement, loading, and unloading of equipment using appropriate handling methods and safety practices.
- Assist project teams when equipment is returned, ensuring items are checked back in and placed correctly into inventory.
- Help maintain basic operational records, logs, or checklists used to track equipment usage and availability.
- Participate in improving warehouse workflows and organization systems as needed.
Logistics, Delivery, & CDL Support (Secondary but Required)
- Perform occasional deliveries of materials and equipment to regional project sites using a tractor trailer.
- Ensure safe and compliant operation of company vehicles during transport.
- Handle loading and unloading activities at job sites in coordination with field personnel.
- Communicate clearly with project teams regarding delivery timing, equipment needs, and any transport related considerations.
- Provide general logistical assistance when additional transportation support is needed.
Required Qualifications:
Experience & Skills
- Experience in warehouse operations, construction support, equipment handling, or similar environments preferred.
- Strong organizational habits with the ability to work methodically and maintain accurate records.
- Comfort working in a hands on, physical role involving equipment movement and material handling.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with warehouse staff, project managers, and field crews.
- Strong communication skills and a dependable, team oriented mindset.
Licensing & Certifications
- Valid CDL required for occasional long distance and regional deliveries.
- OSHA or other safety focused training is a plus; company provided training is available.
- Ability to meet company standards for driving, safety, and equipment operation.
