    Job Description

    The individual in this position is an experienced, professional supervisor responsible for overseeing all Talent Development activities. Duties include but are not limited to, the day-to-day operation of the Talent Development function, completing and submitting reports, ensuring customers’ needs are met, handling customer complaints, conducting team meetings, handling all fiscal matters for this department, staff scheduling, staff training, staff orientation, overseeing workshops and the WIOA program, and coordination with the One-Stop Manager to keep him/her informed of Talent Development activities, coordination with Talent Engagement and Talent Employment Solutions and stay abreast of workforce development trends.

    • Work in partnership with the Project Director/One-Stop Operator on planning and overall day-to-day operations/program development/contract management/human resources/staff development/business development.

    • Develop and maintain a communications plan and keep all lines of business communities appraised of project plans and related implications.

    • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, oversight and direction to the project to maximize contracted performance.

    • Develop strategic plans/quality management Implement project strategies that exceed Top Five contractual requirements, including metrics, cost, and quality.

    • Manage the project monitoring and evaluation system, including project indicators and outputs, to develop and promote appropriate evaluation strategies for program activities.

    • Lead, supervise, and hold accountable direct reports to meet contracted performance expectations.

    • Coordinate employee training, mentoring, work assignments, performance assessment, development, and succession.

    • Ensure all staff are trained and assessed on funded programs, customer service, and HEART Principles.

    • Maintain a library of knowledge and lessons learned from project activities, monitor reviews and audits.

    • Ensure that all required reporting is submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate parties.

    • Serves on work groups and manages special projects and assignments when required.
      Works closely with partner agencies to ensure job seekers’ needs are met.

    • Performs other duties as requested.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Related Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
    • 2-5 years of supervisor/management and training experience preferred.
    • Experience organizing, planning and developing program operations at a supervisory level.
    • Demonstrated customer service skills.
    • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, and team-based project experience.
    • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
