Knickerbockers Deli at the University of Utah is looking for an awesome, energetic, outgoing person to fill our cashier/prep/line cook position at our Research Park location. Pay will be $12.00 per hour PLUS TIPS; this position receives tip share that will boost hourly wage by AT LEAST $3.50- $6.50 per hour which should make for a nice hourly wage. We are looking for a dynamic person to work 7:45 am until approx. 2:30 pm Monday thru Friday. All major holidays we will be closed.

This person we hire will be part of the face of our awesome deli. We need a good person that will greet all of our guests with a warm smile and greeting; help guide them through the ordering process, assist in daily prep, help on grill, assist in catering and also recognize how they can help out the rest of the team to ensure an awesome experience for our customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

Greeting our customers with a welcoming smile & conversation - Food Preparation-Making Espresso coffee (barista)- Smoothies - setting up for catering orders - Daily Prep- Sandwich and Salad Making- Grill help- Taking orders & making change - Cleaning of the Restaurant - Dishes- etc.

This person must be able to interact with our customers in a warm and welcoming way, be able to work hard, have reliable transportation & be reliable. Starting hourly wage will depend on the person applying for the position.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience in espresso making is great but not necessary, experience handling a knife, reliability to be at work daily on time, someone that can learn new things quickly is all we ask.

Experience in kitchen & restaurant environment is also great but not necessary.
