    Job Opportunity – HR Generalist with Bush Business Enterprises in Mason, OH

    Are you a hands-on, well-rounded HR professional looking to make an impact on the productivity and success of an organization? Do you have a desire and initiative to take ownership of core HR processes? If yes, we want to speak to you about our position!

    As the HR Generalist with BBE, you will be responsible for the entire employment life cycle for all employees by running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

    Essential duties include:

    • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
    • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings; partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist for open positions.
    • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
    • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
    • Administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
    • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
    • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
    • Partner with Safety Director regarding regulatory compliance for drivers.
    • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Acts as a subject matter expert on the HRIS system and as a backup for payroll processing.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    To be considered you will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • At least three years of human resource management experience preferred.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
    • Experience with HRIS systems required, Paycom preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Familiarity with DOT regulations a plus.
