OUR COMPANY:

Eric J. Johnson, CPA is a 25+ year old CPA firm providing high level tax, consulting, and year-round accounting services for businesses primarily located in New York, Massachusetts and Vermont. Our clients include a wide variety of small and midsize businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts, estates, and non-profit organizations. Our firm atmosphere allows new employees to mentor directly with a CPA, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience, and to work directly with clients early on in their careers.

Due to the diversity of our clients, the duties associated with this position are varied and allow for a well-rounded experience. Our unique systems and quality staff keep workflow running smoothly throughout the year and our services are not solely built around a busy “tax season” as many traditional accounting firms are.

POSITION OFFER:

We are seeking a full time entry level accountant. This position offers an outstanding career opportunity in a positive career/life balanced environment with a starting salary of $55,000. Additionally, we offer the following benefits:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

· Year-end trial balance work – prepare adjustments to client trial balance for accurate tax and annual financial reporting.

· Preparation of income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, individuals, and fiduciaries.

· Assist with annual tax planning engagements.

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for business clients.

· Preparation of client payroll reports, sales tax returns, and various tax forms.
