Desirable candidate would be someone who is looking for a long term career with a full service CPA firm. Our firm provides personalized accounting services to small and medium sized businesses. This person will wear multiple hats and will need to include a positive attitude, self learner, outstanding work ethic and an enthusiasm to take new tasks. The candidate must be patient, cheerful, self motivated, well organized and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines as a team player. Responsibilities will include:

Main Responsibilities:

· Assist Tax Seniors and Managers with tax research, compliance functions, etc.

· Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, nonprofits and trusts

· Maintain tax related schedules

· Assist with responses to notices from the IRS and other reporting agencies

· Tax planning

· Communicate with clients as needed

· Communicate with IRS, FTB, etc

Job Requirements

· BA/BS in Accounting or Finance

· CPA/EA (preferable) or completed credits

· Attention to detail

· Exceptional Communication skills

· Problem solving skills

· Organized/Good Time Management skills

· QuickBooks experience

· Team Player and ability to work independently

· Work overtime during both spring and fall busy seasons

· Proficient computer skills (CCH Axcess, BNA and other accounting software)

· Proficient in MS Word, Excel & Outlook
