Summary :
The Esrick Family Office is looking to hire a Controller to lead and help manage day-to-day financial operations. We are focused on investing in Real Estate, Private Equity, Growth Equity, and other efficient investments. Over the last 25 years, we have invested with emphasis on executing the long-term vision of the family. The Controller will work on tax-efficient investment strategies with the current team. The Controller should be extremely organized, and have strong relationship skills, both in terms of navigating the objectives and personal financial situations of each member of the family. The Controller will be dealing with service providers, such as banks, investment firms, private companies, accountants, and other groups. They will also be responsible for cash flow reporting, cash management, Monthly, Quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
What you will be doing:
· Lead financial operations and help manage family office.
· Report on existing internal reports and lead in the creation of new financial efficiencies.
· Lead tax returns process for entities of the family members with outside CPA firm
· Help manage the company structure of the family office.
· Manage and oversee Bill Pay.
· Daily/weekly/monthly/Quarterly reporting.
· Managing QuickBooks and other platforms ensuring all numbers and projections are current and accurate.
· Lead Cash Management and yearly planning.
· Microsoft Excel reporting and planning.
· Oversee Quarterly tax planning with partners.
· Oversee Year-end tax planning with partners.
· Meetings with management to discuss growth and planning.
· Occasional Financial modeling and work with CIO and team on valuations.
· Assist in Managing the family office long-term financial goals.
What you will need :
· CPA license and or higher level of education is important.
· Minimum of 3 years working at a CPA firm working in audit and or tax area
· A minimum of 7 years working in accounting and growing to a higher position at an operating business and responsible for all areas of the accounting and finance department.
· High-level understanding of QuickBooks, Juniper Square, and other financial platforms for multiple entities.
· Understanding and ability for financial modeling.
· Committed to long-term growth with our family office.
· Experience with technology and understanding of different technology tools used to make the office more productive.
· A plus is having worked in a family office and as well as the real estate industry.
· Responsible for having some tax knowledge and understanding as well as communication with outside advisors.
· Must have a positive attitude, with strong communication skills and an eye for detail.
