Licensed Practical Nurse Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintains patient records
• Measures vital signs
• Administers and monitors medication
• Updates and communicates patient condition to attending physicians and nurses
• Accredited Practical nursing certificate program. Assists doctors and nurses with tests and other procedures
• Helps patients eat, dress, and bathe

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Requirements

• 1 year patient care experience
• Familiar with hospital health, safety, and sanitation norms and procedures
• Awareness of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and able to handle stress

Education:

Accredited Practical nursing certificate program.

National Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN)
