The Role: As an Estate Administration Paralegal, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive top-level service and extreme relief that we are handling the stress of their administration. You will balance accounts in Excel, track client hours, conduct research, prepare court filings and client correspondence, assist with billing and organize/maintain the client file. Responsibilities: • Properly onboard new client matters. • Routinely correspond with clients both by phone, email and in person. • Review client files to prepare Final Accounts and related correspondence and documentation. • Conduct intra-office conferences with attorneys and other team members working on these cases. • Update database for case status (Curo 365, based on Microsoft Dynamics). • Keep client file current and gather all information in a timely manner. • Track case status and keep time records in the database. • Provide updates on work and enter time into the firm's legal database. • Prepare detailed procedures and checklists for this position. • Perform records research online and at courthouse, including researching deeds. • Prepare and proofread correspondence. • Maintain confidentiality of client and personnel information in accordance with The Elderlaw Firm's confidentiality policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by the attorney or supervisor. Qualifications: • 1-5 years of experience in Estate Administration. • College degree or paralegal certification. • Extremely comfortable with technology and working primarily in digital format. • A strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documents related to estate planning. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal research databases. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • A professional demeanor with a focus on excellent client service. • High attention to detail and the ability to ensure the accuracy of every document. Compensation: $24 - $30 hourly
