  • Responsibilities

    We are searching for a highly analytical applicant who is capable of working full-time and possesses strong negotiation and organizational abilities to join our growing firm as an estate planning attorney. You will create wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for clients and their families and educate them on matters of insurance and powers of attorney. To guarantee that an estate is managed in accordance with the estate owner's intentions, this role demands a high degree of responsibility. Responsibilities: • Educate clients about options for retirement, donating to charity, and purchasing insurance • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current • Prepare wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents • Consult clients about your plans for distributing their assets • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. • Advise clients on estate planning strategies, tax implications, and asset preservation. • Assist with probate processes, including filing petitions, representing clients in court, and managing estate administration. • Handle estate and trust administration matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of legal processes and options. • Offer legal guidance in estate planning, business formation, and special needs planning. • Draft legal documents related to trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and business formation. • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement strategies that protect and preserve their assets. Qualifications: • Wide range of knowledge regarding real estate-related topics such as title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation • Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on on estate planning and probate law issues is necessary • Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida and have the ability and desire to work in our Jacksonville office. • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; an LLM in estate planning or tax law is strongly preferred but not required. You Should Know Some of the Following • Trusts & estates, including estate planning, probate, and trust administration. • Tax planning, strategy, asset protection, wealth protection, wealth transfer, business entities, and filings. • Experience with federal estate tax returns and federal gift tax returns is a plus. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly. • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client service. Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 yearly DOE & Book

    $100,000-$150,000 per year
