Position Overview:
A highly respected, award-winning law firm with multiple locations across Virginia is seeking an experienced Estate Administration and/or Estate Litigation Attorney to join its team in the Alexandria area. The firm has a large team of attorneys and support staff and is known for its collaborative culture, strong leadership, and commitment to client service. With a strong presence throughout Virginia and a primary hub in the Alexandria area, the firm continues to grow rapidly and is consistently recognized as a top workplace in the region.. The firm is looking to add an attorney focused on estate administration and/or estate litigation. Candidates must have relevant experience practicing in a Virginia courtroom setting to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle estate administration and probate matters from start to finish
- Represent clients in estate litigation, including will contests, fiduciary disputes, and related hearings
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal support teams across the firm's offices
- Maintain regular communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Prepare legal documents, manage deadlines, and advocate effectively in contested matters
Requirements:
- Active Virginia law license
- Demonstrated experience in a Virginia courtroom setting, direct experience in estate litigation preferred
- Strong litigation and case management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to commute to Alexandria and other local office locations as needed
