Overview
A private organization is seeking an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and care of a high-value residential property. This hands-on role requires strong technical aptitude, sound judgment, and a high level of personal accountability. The Estate Manager will take ownership of property operations, perform hands-on maintenance where appropriate, and coordinate vendors to ensure the property operates efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation, care, and maintenance of a residential property
- Perform hands-on maintenance and basic repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Monitor and support HVAC, lighting, security, automation, and other residential systems
- Identify issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and determine when to engage specialized vendors
- Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed
- Maintain property appearance through routine upkeep, light repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Oversee exterior areas, including hardscape, lighting, and general property presentation
- Ensure safe operation, storage, and readiness of property-related equipment
- Maintain organized records, documentation, and follow-through on maintenance activities
- Communicate clearly and professionally with ownership, guests, and service providers
Qualifications
- Prior experience in estate management, facilities management, property management, or a similar hands-on role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and general technical knowledge
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment
- Comfortable working in a private, high-expectation environment
