About the Firm
A respected, mid-sized firm in the Brookhaven area (just north of Atlanta) is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its established and growing practice. The firm consists of 15 attorneys supported by a strong administrative team and offers clients integrated services in estate planning, tax planning, tax controversy, wealth management, and real estate law.

This is a collaborative environment where attorneys work closely across practice groups, providing sophisticated planning solutions to individuals, families, and business owners throughout the Atlanta market.

The Opportunity
This role is ideal for an attorney with at least 2 years of direct trusts and estates experience who is looking to build a long-term practice within a stable firm that values technical skill, client relationships, and professional growth. The attorney will play a meaningful role in client strategy, drafting, and ongoing advisory work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Draft and implement estate plans, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
• Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning strategies
• Handle trust and estate administration matters
• Work alongside the firm's tax planning and tax controversy attorneys on complex matters
• Assist with business succession planning and real estate-related estate considerations
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Bar license required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in trusts and estates law
• Experience drafting estate planning documents independently
• Familiarity with estate and gift tax planning concepts
• Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage files with appropriate autonomy while collaborating within a team structure
