    Hermance Law is seeking a Contract Estate Planning Attorney to join our growing team. This is a flexible opportunity (20–40 hours per week) for a California-licensed attorney with a heart for service and a passion for helping families plan for their future, either in person or remotely. You’ll meet with clients, draft custom estate plans, and help guide families through one of the most important processes of their lives—all with the support of a positive, organized, and mission-driven team. Responsibilities: • Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients in Ventura, CA, regarding all aspects of estate planning, which include wills, trusts, probate, and tax matters. • Draft, review, and edit a wide array of estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives, catering to the specific needs of clients. • Perform thorough legal research to support case strategies, staying updated with the latest changes in laws and regulations relevant to estate planning. • Conduct client meetings to evaluate their estate planning requirements, assess their financial status, and develop personalized solutions to safeguard their assets. • Collaborate closely with clients to craft comprehensive estate plans aligned with their unique objectives, ensuring the protection of their assets. • Efficiently manage a caseload while prioritizing high-quality and prompt client service delivery. • Supervise the execution of estate planning documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to legal requirements. • Participate actively in firm-wide initiatives like client seminars, workshops, and marketing endeavors to promote the practice. • Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain strict client confidentiality at all times. • Stay abreast of the latest developments in estate planning laws and regulations, sharing insights with colleagues and clients as needed. • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance legal expertise and skills. • Collaborate effectively with team members to streamline workflow, ensure efficiency, and manage cases within specified timelines. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. • Admission to the state bar and license to practice law in CA. • A minimum of 2 years of experience in estate planning law or a related practice area. • Strong knowledge of estate planning procedures, laws, regulations, and tax implications. • Case experience in trust administration, probate, mediation, will contests, conservatorships, and guardianship. • Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills. • Proven ability to provide comprehensive estate planning advice and create tailored solutions for clients. • Proficiency in using legal research databases, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple complex cases and deadlines. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to think critically and problem-solve effectively. • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor. Compensation: $40 - $50 hourly
