Paralegal - Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianship We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. Responsibilities: • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses • Aid lawyers in the preparation and execution of estate planning documents, probate cases, and guardianship cases • Prepare and File Deeds • Review bank statements for Guardianship and Probate accountings • Talk with clients to gather information about their legal issues • Take Care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining our computerized case management system • Follow up on leads and client inquiries • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings for estate planning, probate, and guardianship cases Qualifications: • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Talented communicator and writer • Must have significant law office experience with Estate Planning, Probate, or Guardianship Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly
