We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to assist attorneys in preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in estate planning or probate law, a Paralegal Certification, and proficiency in drafting legal documents. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are essential. Familiarity with Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, and NALA certification is a plus. Responsibilities: • Assist attorneys in preparing various estate planning documents, including but not limited to wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and living wills. • Oversee organization and maintenance of all case related documents. • Conduct research on estate planning laws, tax implications, and trust administration as needed • Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing records daily. • Coordinate with financial institutions, insurance providers, and other entities as needed for client matters. • Assist with document reviews and document creation. • Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents based on attorney input and client information • Ensure compliance with federal and state rules of procedure. • Manage document deliveries and execution. • Assist with additional work overflow as requested. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree • Paralegal Certification • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a paralegal in an estate planning or probate law firm. • Knowledge of state and federal estate planning laws and procedures. • Ability to meet deadlines and billing requirements • Proficient in drafting and preparing legal documents related to estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.). • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to collaborate well in a team. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office It would be even better if you had… • Familiarity with Westlaw and Lexis Nexis • NALA Certification
