    Our expanding boutique law firm is looking for an experienced probate, estate, and trust associate attorney. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with experience on the estate planning side with some probate to join our growing boutique law firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in estate planning, wills, trusts, estates, and fiduciary duties. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex matters, work closely with senior attorneys, and develop expertise in a niche and high-demand area of law. Our ideal candidate will have extensive estate planning and trust knowledge, be a qualified attorney with 3-5 years of experience, and have excellent written and oral communication abilities. Responsibilities: • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current • Communicate with clients about plans for dispersing their assets • Provide clients with information about retirement plans, charitable contributions, and insurance choices • Confer with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Represent clients in probate and trust litigation matters, including will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and trust modifications • Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery requests/responses • Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issues • Participate in mediations, court hearings • Collaborate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to advance case strategy • Maintain timely communication with clients and provide legal advice throughout the process • Manage deadlines and case files with attention to detail and strategic thinking Qualifications: • Experience at a legal firm working on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years is required • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Understanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation • Active member of the California Bar Association Compensation: $115,000 - $145,000 yearly
