Job Title: Estate and Trust Litigation Paralegal
Location: New York, NY (Midtown – 56th & Madison)
Work Arrangement: Onsite for first 90 days, then hybrid with 1 remote day/week
Salary Range: $95,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
Billable Target: 1200–1400 hours annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week + 1-hour lunch)

About the Opportunity
A leading full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Estate and Trust Litigation Paralegal to join its high-performing legal team in Midtown Manhattan. This role offers the opportunity to support complex estate and trust litigation matters, working closely with attorneys to ensure timely and accurate case progression.

Key Responsibilities
Provide litigation support for estate and trust matters, including the preparation and e-filing of pleadings, TOAs, TOCs, and briefs
Manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, and hearing schedules
Communicate directly with clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries regarding case updates and documentation needs
Coordinate document production, discovery materials, and case management databases
Collaborate with attorneys on trial preparation, including exhibits, filings, and hearing binders
Maintain billing accuracy by recording 7.5 hours (billable and non-billable) daily and meeting an annual billable goal of 1200 hours
Support ad hoc litigation tasks and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of paralegal experience, with a strong background in estate and trust litigation
In-depth knowledge of New York Surrogate’s Court procedures ; New Jersey familiarity is a plus
Experience preparing litigation documents such as TOAs, TOCs, discovery, and pleadings
Understanding of estate tax filings, probate procedures , and fiduciary accounting
Proficiency in estate planning and litigation software (e.g., WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, LEAP, ForeTrust, Gillett Publishing)
Familiarity with document management systems such as iManage, Worldox, NetDocuments, Clio Manage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-volume cases
Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
