    Job Summary:

    Carry out all categories of product assembly using suitable hand tools and powered equipment

    Essential Functions:

    • Gather instructions, prints, and work orders for the job
    • Read and comprehend instructions and follow set procedures
    • Gather together all material, hardware, and equipment required to commence the process and plan details of work procedures and requirements
    • Assemble customer or company products by utilizing proper assembly techniques, examining connections for appropriate fit, fastening parts and subassemblies with proper tools and/or equipment
    • Carry out work with required degree of accuracy and control to evade damage and/or waste
    • Keep work area tidy and orderly and maintain equipment in good condition

    Other Requirements:

    • Stand or sit as required for work, lift work pieces and employ equipment
    • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and practice applicable safety procedures to safeguard against injury caused by materials or equipment
    • Use caution to avoid injury to others while performing work
    • Report on problems, malfunctions, or defective parts, recognize any defective items and handle them according to set procedures
    • Search for continuous improvement ideas to make processes more proficient and productive

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Carry out other duties such as running production machines as needed
    • Perform assembly operations in compliance with company ISO 9001 Quality System
    • Perform routine plant maintenance and housekeeping, preserving a safe and clean working environment by following company procedures, rules, and regulations

    Qualifications:

    • Possesses working knowledge of sheet metal types, finishes, and basic fabrication operations
    • Possesses working knowledge of different types of hardware utilized in product assembly
    • Able to decode part drawings, to encompass material and part specifications, tolerances, notes, symbols, and multiple part views
    • Capability to use computer software as necessary to maintain records of production quantities and times
    • Good comprehension of quality control principles
    • Exceptional hand-eye coordination and physical condition
    • Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
