Role Snapshot
This is the ultimate BFF Esthetician role—equal parts skin expert, patient educator, and calm clinic operator. You’ll deliver safe, effective treatments within California esthetician scope , guide patients through their wellness and aesthetics journey, and keep the front-to-back flow smooth and on time. You’ll confidently explain our membership model , help patients select the right plans and series, and support a consistent, brand-forward experience.
Patient Experience & Flow: Greet, consult, and prepare patients; maintain a reassuring, polished tone; keep visits on time and rooms turned efficiently.
Esthetic Services — Performed (within esthetician scope):
* Customized facials and post-treatment skin care
* Gentle chemical peels
* Body contouring/cavitation/RF (per clinic protocols)
* Lymphatic device massage
* Treatment-room setup, sanitation, and device checklists
* **Laser Hair Removal** — candidacy, expectations, pre/post care, membership/series options
* **IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)** — goals, timelines, aftercare, and plan fit
* **DPL (Dynamic Pulsed Light)** — benefits, process, and coordination steps
In California, these light-based services are medical procedures performed by licensed medical professionals. Your role is to educate thoroughly and coordinate next steps per clinic protocols.
Education & Membership Guidance: Translate goals into treatment plans; clearly explain membership benefits, series, timelines, and home-care routines.
Detail-Driven Documentation: Accurate notes, photos (with consent), pre/post instructions, product recommendations, and follow-up scheduling.
Retail & Results: Curate home-care regimens aligned to treatment plans; track outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Safety & Standards: Impeccable sanitation, adherence to HIPAA and clinic policies; escalate concerns promptly.
Brand Presence: Support review invites, before/after galleries (consented), event days, and a beautiful, on-brand treatment environment.

Current California Esthetician License (Board of Barbering & Cosmetology)
Experience in med spa/clinic or high-touch aesthetics strongly preferred
Comfortable performing the services listed under “Performed” and educating/coordinating light-based services (LHR, IPL, DPL) with the medical team
Strong consultative skills (intake, goal-setting, plan building, home-care coaching)
Tech-comfortable: EMR/scheduling, online forms, digital payments, texting platforms
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Skill Building: Structured training on devices and treatment planning, plus membership education
Scope Expansion: Opportunities to own initiatives (events, reviews, before/after content, inventory cues, onboarding)
