    Estimator – Building Automation
    NW Metro (Hybrid) | Direct Hire | $65-95k (Flexible)


    Konik is partnering with a growing Building Automation (BAS) contractor to add an Estimator to their team. This group focuses on mechanically driven BAS solutions across commercial projects, including municipal, K-12, and high-profile facilities such as airport infrastructure.

    This is a great opportunity for a seasoned technical estimator or building automation professional looking to advance their career with an established, reputable firm. Strong, growth-oriented junior candidates with a background in HVAC, BAS, or low-voltage systems who are looking to build a long-term career in estimating and technical sales support are also encouraged to apply!


    Estimator – Building Automation Responsibilities:

    • Develop estimates for Building Automation and controls systems, including materials, equipment, software, and labor
    • Support the creation of scope proposals that clearly communicate project intent and deliverables
    • Partner with Account Managers and senior team members during project kickoff to understand scope, pricing, and design approach
    • Coordinate vendor pricing and subcontractor quotes to support accurate estimating
    • Utilize estimating tools and software to track and manage project opportunities
    • Support multiple active estimates while maintaining organization and attention to detail
    • Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to ensure alignment across project scope and execution

    Estimator – Building Automation Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree in HVAC, electronics, or related degree
    • 1+ year of experience in HVAC, Building Automation (BAS), low voltage, or related field; 3+ years preferred
    • Technical estimating experience is ideal; exposure to estimating, project coordination, or technical systems preferred
    • Strong interest in learning estimating processes and building systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work fully in-office for the initial 6 months of training; transitions to a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office
