Our client is a leading specialty contractor serving industrial, commercial, and infrastructure markets across North America. With a reputation for excellence in access, insulation, coatings, and related services, they support capital and maintenance projects across diverse sectors. Their teams deliver safe, cost-efficient, and schedule-driven solutions that help customers maximize productivity and performance.
They are seeking a Senior Insulation Estimator to join their estimating team. This individual will focus on large-value estimates across insulation systems including thermal, acoustic, and mineral wool applications. The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the U.S. and involves collaborating with project teams nationwide to develop competitive and accurate proposals.
Responsibilities:
Receive and manage customer Requests for Quote (RFQs) and project proposals, ensuring full understanding of scope, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare comprehensive estimates for insulation systems, thermal, acoustic, and mechanical, across industrial and commercial applications.
Interpret and extract data from construction drawings and MTOs to quantify materials and labor requirements.
Consolidate takeoff data and cost inputs using MIKE estimating software to generate detailed proposals.
Collaborate with operations and project management to validate scope, productivity factors, and resource assumptions.
Support bid reviews and presentations, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and company standards.
Maintain consistent estimating practices and documentation for audit and tracking purposes.
Qualifications:
5+ years of insulation estimating experience in industrial or commercial environments
Strong knowledge of insulation types, including thermal, acoustic, and mineral wool systems.
Proficient with MIKE estimating software
Skilled at reading and interpreting drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical specifications.
Experience preparing bids for union or non-union projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex estimates and meet multiple bid deadlines.
Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary in the $80k – $130k/year range
