    Neumayer Equipment is seeking candidates to join our Estimating Team in St. Louis, Missouri.

    As an Estimator, you will be a part of Neumayer Equipment Company’s commercial/industrial Estimation and Sales team, the get work gurus. You will assist the Chief and Senior Estimator(s) and Sales Staff in helping to build our company’s portfolio by utilizing your attention to detail and time management skills to produce timely, accurate, and thorough estimates for projects throughout the state of Missouri and its surrounding neighbors. We are looking for you to be a part of our get work initiative by estimating plumbing, sheet metal, mechanical, hydronic, and process piping systems.

    · 1-5+ years Estimator experience in Plumbing, HVAC and Process Piping of Institutional, and Industrial related projects.

    · Responsible to lead all estimates up to $1M. On larger projects, Estimator will work under guidance of a Senior Estimator.

    · Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects.

    · Skilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

    · Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor.

    · Understand construction field conditions, means and methods, and project schedules.

    · Quickpen / Autobid software experience preferred.

    · Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam experience preferred.

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    · You will be responsible for soliciting, evaluating, and preparing bid proposals in the most attractive manner to general contractors and owners.

    PRE CONSTRUCTION

    Analyzing each project before it starts and accurately estimating costs related to labor, materials, equipment and other relevant areas

    Reviewing and comprehending technical and administrative documents such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs)

    Determining list of material takeoffs to define quantities of work materials

    Determining work crews and production rates for performance of required tasks

    Breaking down scope of work into definable tasks

    Assisting in the development of bids, scope documents and proposals

    Developing pricing changes to existing projects

    Updating current pricing and labor within estimating software on a regular basis

    Developing a trust and level of respect from subcontractors and vendors to ensure best numbers on bid day—therefore maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

    Being well versed in computerized takeoff programs including Quote Express as well as capable of manual entry, digitizer and on-screen takeoff methods
