Fire Sprinkler Estimator
Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid Remote)
Compensation: $80,000–$120,000 base salary + bonus potential

Position Summary
This Estimator role blends technical estimating with sales and client relationship management. You will lead the preconstruction process from reviewing drawings to submitting bids, developing GC relationships, and helping shape Swift’s future.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate estimates for fire sprinkler systems (commercial, institutional, and residential)
Analyze drawings and specifications and interpret NFPA 13 code requirements
Conduct take-offs, pricing, and proposal development
Participate in site walks, pre-bid meetings, and client discussions
Represent Swift in industry groups and networking events (NFSA, AGC)
Help refine internal estimating systems and support long-term scalability
Performance Objectives
Bid 5 projects per week
Build a backlog of $1.5M per quarter
Maintain profitability margins from precon to execution
Hit $500K/month in sales volume by year-end
Qualifications
Required
Estimating experience in fire protection or similar mechanical systems
Ability to interpret drawings and specs and apply fire code knowledge (NFPA)
Familiarity with NICET Levels I–III
Strong communication skills and client-facing experience
Team-oriented and adaptable to a dynamic environment
Preferred
NICET certification (Level I–III)
Experience with fire sprinkler installation or system design
Familiarity with the Portland-area GC community
Background in startups or fast-growth companies
