Responsibilities: • Review engineering RFP'S, specifications, and project documents to assess scope and requirements. • Research and source materials, compare supplier pricing, and estimate total material costs. • Calculate labor hours, factoring in skill levels, experience, and labor rates. • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, permits, and overhead. • Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure accurate estimations. • Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to identify cost-effective solutions. • Develop cost-saving strategies to optimize resources without compromising quality. Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, estimating, or related fields. • Strong understanding of mechanical components, materials, and manufacturing processes. • Proficiency in CAD software and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills for accurate cost assessments. • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with various stakeholders. Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 yearly
