    Full Job Description:

    House Doctors is a professional handyman and home improvement company specializing in both large and small jobs in the Portsmouth area. We are looking for a motivated, professional, and customer-focused Handyman Technician / Estimator / Sales Representative to join our growing team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on home improvement work and working directly with customers to estimate projects, build relationships, and close sales.

    In this role, you will meet with homeowners, assess project needs, prepare estimates, follow up on leads, and complete a variety of handyman and home improvement projects. The right candidate is organized, personable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service and high-quality workmanship.

    Responsibilities:

    Meet with customers to understand their project needs

    Measure and estimate home improvement and repair projects

    Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed estimates

    Create materials lists and project scopes

    Manage sales leads and follow up on previous estimates and past customers

    Close projects while maintaining target profit margins

    Complete handyman and home improvement work such as repairs, drywall, carpentry, painting, flooring, and general maintenance

    Organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for daily tasks

    Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, suppliers, and partners

    Represent House Doctors in the community and help generate new business through networking and customer relationships

    Deliver outstanding customer service from first contact through project completion

    Qualifications:

    5+ years of experience in handyman work, carpentry, home improvement, estimating, sales, customer service, or a related field

    Strong knowledge of residential repair and maintenance work

    Experience preparing estimates or quoting projects is preferred

    Sales experience and ability to close jobs is an asset

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Strong customer service skills

    Detail-oriented and highly organized

    Comfortable using computers, mobile apps, and office software

    Valid driver’s license

    Able to perform physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, bending, climbing, and using tools safely
