    APEX Wood Floors is a leading provider of high-quality hardwood flooring solutions, known for craftsmanship, quality, and customer service. We have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join our team in Lombard, IL, with occasional travel to Chicago.

    Our ideal Estimator is detail oriented with an eagle-eye for accuracy, solutions-focused, resourceful, driven and collaborative, with a strong interest in building a long-term career. This role is well suited for those looking to grow in the estimating field, including individuals with experience in the military or structured, mission-driven environments, even if direct estimating experience is limited. We offer mentorship and hands-on training for individuals with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the opportunity to grow in the wood flooring and construction industry.

    We offer a base salary range of $65,000 to $70,000, and a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, 401k with company match, and paid time off.

    Requirements for our Estimator:

    • 1+ years of experience in wood flooring, construction or a related role.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
    • Experience working with a diverse range of professionals (vendors, tradespersons, clients).
    • Computer saavy with ability and willingness to learn our take-off software.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (work at Lombard and downtown Chicago/River North offices).

    Primary Responsibilities for our Estimator:

    • Works on multiple opportunities and tasks simultaneously; able to ‘course correct' promptly when workload and project direction require.
    • Learns, understands and executes our quote/contract process; Reads Blueprint Bid Set and receives pricing and lead times from vendors.
    • Participates in proposal meetings and occasional site visits to assist in the preparation of proposals.
    • Manages individual design and project-specific digital files and hard copies.
    • Other duties as assigned.
