    Location: Scottsdale, AZ

We offer a full range of skincare, as well as treatment manicures, medical and wellness pedicures, massage, and body treatments.     Job Description

    As the person who delivers the start and finish portions of nail and foot care, the Licensed Nail Care Assistant is responsible for delivering high quality service and an excellent client experience. This is an intermediate entry-level position that is perfect for a licensed nail technologist with at least 6 months experience in the industry who wants to work in a boutique wellness-focused spa environment. If you are interested in continuing to educate yourself and grow in your knowledge of nail and foot care, Ethereal may be the place for you! The high-end products we use require us to follow a prescriptive process to obtain the best results for our clients. As a Nail Care Assistant, you primarily start and finish manicures and pedicures for the Master Technicians. This position also assists with the general flow of services in the spa such as Hand and Foot Rejuvenating Treatments and more. Certification for additional services, maintaining the highest standards of customer service, and delivering a great experience for our guests, and completing training will position you for career growth. Upon completion of training, you are expected to be familiar with our services and able to perform our Essential level services on your own if necessary. A typical day would consist of:

    · Greeting guest and starting / ending service

    · Ensuring safety protocols are followed

    · Assess client contraindications

    · Maintain client engagement

    · Follow prescriptive treatment process

    · Suggest complementary services

    · Create and maintain client records

    · Maintain product/service knowledge

    · Clean and sanitize work environment

    · Stay within service timelines

    · Communicate any deviations in schedule

    · Promote products and services

    · Maintain license / certification requirements

    · Demonstrate attention to detail

    Qualifications

    · Completion of nail training from an accredited nail school

    · Current State issued nail technologist license ( Valid in Arizona)

    · 6 months+ as a practicing nail technician in a professional nail salon

    · Gel and natural nail manicure / pedicure experience

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills

    · High level of confidence

    · Excellent time management skills

    · Excellent and engaging customer service skills

    · Team player who collaborates and operates with a sense of accountability

    · Professional appearance and demeanor

    · Able to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities

    · Awareness of safety precautions and procedures to ensure a safe atmosphere for clients and team members

    · High School diploma or equivalent

    · Must be at least 18 years of age

    · Must be able to lift 20 pounds

    · Must be physically able to perform, for an extended period during the shift, all the requirements of this role including sitting, standing, bending, manual dexterity, etc.

    · Must have excellent vision – close vision, color vision, and depth perception

    Preferred Qualifications

    · Prior experience in a day spa or resort

    · Prior experience with products used by Ethereal

    · Sales experience

    Responsibilities

    Ensure the Ethereal Wellness and Esthetics culture for guests by modeling and maintaining the standards set in our facility policies.

    Maintain a professional, confidential practitioner-client relationship; understand and use universal precautions and code of ethics when providing services.

    Remain focused on client care during the session; engage in conversations related to the client's interests and concerns.

    Know all spa services offered and be able to suggest other beneficial spa treatments

    Assess client contraindications that may prevent a service from taking place.

    Perform all treatments on services' menu, based on current certifications.

    Create and maintain client cards, services provided, and treatment notes, when appropriate.

    Maintain the highest level of product knowledge and ingredients; be able to explain ingredients and product benefits and recommend products for home use with the minimum service to sales quota based on the agreed amount

    Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment; clean and disinfect the work area daily.

    Work assigned schedule; begin and end all treatments on time; ensure work areas are set according to procedures.

    Attend all scheduled meetings and professional training, as requested.

    Practice health care protocol; report any incident or accident to a supervisor.

    Assist staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain the facility and prepare for special events, as requested.

    Nail Skills & Proficiencies:

    Technician must be able to perform Manicures/Pedicures that include the following:

    Evaluate each client’s nails and recommend nail care and treatment

    Remove previously applied polish and apply new polish

    Cuticle prep and care using e-file, also known as a dry manicure.

    Clean and shape fingernails and toenails

    Apply gel-x extensions nails, if needed

    Apply nail art ( minimal)

    Provide hand/foot massages

    Ability to explain and promote treatments, services, and products to guests.

    Ability to speak and provide a manicure or pedicure at the same time, sometimes with distractions; willingness to respond to client's questions or concerns.

    Ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors about job tasks and responsibilities.

    Able to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments

    Desire to contribute to a productive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude with team members and the public.

    Education Requirements:

    Must have received nail training from an accredited/approved nail school

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Must hold and maintain a current Arizona State license
