    ABOUT THE ROLE

    We're looking for a Product Manager, Data and Marketing Technologies, who is excited to define and build the connective tissues necessary for cross-channel and cross-product personalized campaigns that will fuel Ethos' ambitious scaling trajectory and drive the lifeblood of our business, as well as help our team members make informed data-based decisions. 

    We're looking for an experienced leader to work across product, marketing, partnerships, analytics, and core engineering teams to define and deliver the foundational systems that help us control and optimize the customer journey, drive customer consideration and adoption of Ethos' varied products across media channels, and enable an integrated, robust partner and affiliate platform. This leader will also be responsible for identifying and addressing key gaps in the data stack at Ethos. 

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the back-bone that is driving a once-in-a-lifetime disruption of an old-school $700 billion dollar life insurance industry. As part of the Data and Insights team, your responsibilities will include:

    • Creating a clear and compelling vision for Ethos' marketing and data systems that enable us to leverage the best-in-class technologies, to build elegant systems when necessary and to implement effective data integrations, all meant to maximize the value of our data
    • Developing a shared roadmap to realize this vision, and owning our entire technology stack for marketing and data visualization to ensure that data is always available in the best applicable formats from our channels, products, partners and vendors. 
    • Collaborating with senior leaders and colleagues across Ethos including Engineering, Consumer, Marketing, Carrier Partnership and Agent Partnership teams, to ensure a consistent understanding of priorities and initiatives for our marketing and data technologies
    • Pursuing a personal growth mindset and honing your strategic thinking - you will help transform large data sets into a story that helps senior leadership make decisions
    • Getting your hands dirty and driving the product development process from ideation to launch to impact analysis, collaborating with many teams along the way

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    This role requires a high degree of entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to get things done. The ideal candidate will couple deep intellectual capacity and analytical rigor with creativity around complex data driven systems. We're looking for leaders who demonstrate a high degree of ownership, and are looking to join a team with a clear mission and purpose. Your skill-set should include:

    • Minimum of 5-7 years experience leading complex technical products preferably in advertising or marketing.
    • A deep understanding of the current market of data visualization and marketing tools, and related best practices, along with a clear opinion on where things are going or should go
    • A deep understanding of interdependencies involved in designing, adopting and/or building up a complex, scalable system with high reliability
    • An owner's mindset - you don't shy away from the hard, complex stuff
    • Strong collaboration skills in team environments along with the ability to act quickly as the decision-maker
