Etna Interactive, a full-service digital marketing agency, is seeking a Software Engineer to build awesomeness. No, seriously, we want talented software developers to help us create the best tools, integrations, systems, and applications that help our clients grow their businesses. WE EXPECT YOU TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO:

• Integrate digital marketing systems and data using modern and not so modern API's
• Design and build company internal systems to enable our teams to succeed
• Support or refactor legacy systems to meet new standards 
• Write and execute smart testing structures to ensure quality implementations
• Create great data architecture and be nimble with SQL

This position reports directly to technology leadership and has wide liberty in architectural and implementation decisions for completing system needs. Architectural autonomy provides wide latitude for the right engineer to create great things with minimal disruption; this doesn't mean that you are off on your own. Solutions are often bound by the legacy systems that they work with or inside of. A great software engineer will leverage their expertise in systems integrations with their knowledge of software architecture to build sustainable and scalable solutions. 

THE ROLE IS EXPRESSLY RESPONSIBLE FOR: 

• Turning complex needs into elegant and appropriately scalable designs and then implementing these designs with the help of leadership and other team members.
• Maintaining systems that currently make up our proprietary technology footprint.
• Taking responsibility for technology risk analysis and mitigation.
• Supporting clients with highly complex engineering needs.

• Mastery of software development - including SQL, API consumption and design, data architecture, technical requirements building, and quality testing.

• Real world experience in connecting systems through various API integrations.
• Real world experience in diagnosing, fixing, and improving legacy systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in software, systems, and people.
• Ability to express complex ideas in technical and laymen terms.
