WHAT’S THE ROLE?
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Geographic Expansion team within Payments. In this role you will lead our squad of experienced engineers responsible for expanding Etsy Payments into new countries. The systems we build and operate process billions of dollars a year and require around-the-clock availability. The projects we work on are highly impactful and have a direct, material impact on Etsy’s bottom line.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager and the base salary range will be 182,000.00 - 236,000.00 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States who are either remote, flex, or office-based. WHAT DOES THE DAY-TO-DAY LOOK LIKE?
You will manage our team of 6 full-stack engineers.
In tight partnership with our Product Manager and our Business Partner you will set our overall strategy and roadmap.
This is a “front line” management position. You will actively participate in our team’s day to day work, from coordinating the regular sprint meetings to prioritizing external requests and incidents.
You will serve as a coach, mentor, and advocate for the engineers on the team.

You have the ability to manage long term, high profile projects.
