    Job Description

Etsy is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one of our App Core Experience teams.

Our marketplace has an abundance of one-of-a-kind items from independent artists, designers and vintage collectors from around the world. Our mission: Make it easier for buyers to find and purchase these remarkable goods and for creative entrepreneurs to find success through our platform. Are you interested in empowering the growth of millions of small businesses? Passionate about working at scale but keeping the uniqueness of our shops and inventory top of mind? Join us!

    About the Team:

The App Core Experience team is responsible for driving innovation and high impact improvements across the core buying experience on our Native iOS and Android apps. In this role, you will lead and grow a team of talented engineers. You will also collaborate closely with product, design, and analytics partners to identify, prioritize, and deliver high quality experiences. Millions of users rely on our Buy on Etsy apps on a monthly basis, and your work will improve the experience of Etsy’s most dedicated buyers.

The App Core Experience team strives to maintain a balanced portfolio of foundational and revolutionary projects. In 2020 the team pushed the boundaries of our platform by delivering the first experience using augmented reality at Etsy, giving buyers a way to see prints and drawings in their own space. The team maintains a close relationship with Apple and has partnered on a number of innovative projects. For foundational work, the team has also made key contributions to level up our API, iOS, and Android platforms. Come join us to help drive our roadmap for 2021 and beyond!

This is a full-time role, located (eventually) in Brooklyn, NY. We are also open to individuals who would like to work remotely within the US, Canada, or Mexico or plan to have a hybrid remote+local work schedule. (The majority of the team is typically located out of our Brooklyn office in NY, but we also have teammates in locations throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico.)

Many Etsy roles are open to remote candidates, and you'll be able to identify which ones within the location header of each job description. For candidates who will work remotely from Colorado, visit this link for information related to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
