    Job Description

    What's the Role?

    We are looking for an Impact & Sustainability Specialist who has experience working across corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics. This role will support our Impact team with research and analysis for emerging areas and management of key programs, logistics, and partnerships.

    This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Impact and Sustainability and the base salary range will be $90,000 - 116,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.     What does the day-to-day look like?

    • Contribute to our impact strategy by conducting research and analysis on a wide variety of ESG topics and industry trends. Present your findings in compellingly crafted presentations in Google slides.
    • Manage programs that are essential for our impact goals, such as our marketplace diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) pilot or our partnership on climate resilience
    • Build and execute an employee engagement program for our Impact work.
    • Work closely with our Senior Manager of Social Innovation to support our corporate grant and employee giving programs by managing contracting, keeping detailed records, and tracking progress against our targets.
    • Provide ongoing program management support to priority Impact initiatives. Collaborate with business partners across the company. Lead engagements with external partners.
    • Identify and explore emerging areas and support the team in chasing new challenges, all while keeping a keen sense of prioritization that will allow us to deliver on our commitments.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

    • 3+ years of experience in a corporate sustainability or social impact role. A graduate degree in an environmental or social impact area may replace some job experience.
    • Experience with successfully juggling multiple tasks and ongoing projects, including logistical day-to-day operations, while keeping everything highly organized
    • Love of research, data and analysis, and benchmarking – and an ability to apply those skills and your knowledge of business priorities to produce useful findings
    • Skilled in deck building and creating compelling pitches in Google slides, including experience distilling complex or technical information into digestible content to help colleagues make decisions
    • Ability to work collaboratively and an approach that enables the team to arrive at solutions iteratively
    • Experience developing compelling communications and engagement content related to social and environmental impact.
    • Comfort with uncertainty around processes and decision frameworks, and adept at building the path as you travel it
    • A passion for racial justice and combating the climate crisis and a strong understanding of the intersections in between
