    Eurasia Group is the world’s leading political risk advisory and consulting firm. Our mission is to assist investors, companies, foundations, and public-sector institutions anticipate the opportunities and manage the risks created by the impact of politics and policy on markets around the world.

    Office of the President (OOP) is seeking an intern to support the team in researching and preparing materials across the President’s editorial, communications, business, and events priorities. The intern will also provide support in maintaining the network database; tracking news and geopolitical developments in key geographies; and help in preparing the principal ahead of major global convenings and public events.

    Office of Management (OOM) is seeking an intern help drive strategic initiatives for the firm, working closely with the company’s management team and senior executives. The intern will provide various project support, collecting and analyzing data for research.

    This internship will provide opportunities to learn about the geopolitical risk field, develop competencies applicable to the work in principal support role, and explore the intersection of business, government and public sector. Applicants should be students of final year at undergraduate or actively enrolled in graduate academic institution.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Researching and preparing materials as needed for principal’s editorial, communications, business, and events priorities
    • Producing meeting notes, summaries and minutes
    • Researching, writing, and presenting in a concise manner recent news, organization and event background, geopolitical developments of interest
    • Maintaining network database, monitoring news in key states and regions, and researching news ahead of major global convenings
    • Support the OOM team with administrative tasks including scheduling internal and external meetings and keeping up with the team’s running agenda and follow-up items.
    • Assist in project management, data collection, data analysis, development of data sets, executing quantitative and qualitative research and analysis using a variety of sources.
    • Work with the firm’s management team to help advance key internal strategic initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be enrolled in academic institution, graduate-level enrollment a plus)
    • Ability to perform research and analysis using primary, local and open sources
    • Strong writing skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
    • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a team-oriented mindset
    • Academic background in political science, international relations, economics or business
    • Some professional experience (including internships/fellowships) in government, NGO, philanthropic or consulting institutions is a plus
    • Full business proficiency in the English language; additional language skills are a plus

    Timing:

    • June 3 - August 2 (You must be available for all 9 weeks to qualify)

    Compensation:

    $16 an hour
