    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY: The HRIS team is responsible for all activities required to support every department within HR and Payroll. The HRIS Specialist will work as part of the HRIS team and will be primarily responsible for assisting all US employees with issues via our internal ticketing system, as well as working to maintain and improve our new HCM system (Oracle Cloud HCM). In addition, this position will serve as a key resource for the department as a whole in areas such as hardware and software troubleshooting, adhoc reporting and other related tasks. All will be accomplished while utilizing the current Infor/Lawson HR system as the department works to transition to Oracle Cloud HCM.

    HRIS SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Manage the internal ticket system by answering questions and also redirecting tickets to more appropriate individuals on the team and within the department
    • Research and troubleshoot employee issues coming through the ticket system to arrive at the appropriate resolution.  This may take a coordinated response with other groups. 
    • Provide HRIS support with set up, testing, troubleshooting and reporting for new Oracle HCM system and associated processes
    •  Assist others in HR department with potential hardware and software needs 
    • Gain and then maintain a high level of knowledge in many different systems that the department utilizes
    •  When needed, provide technical support for maintenance of installed software applications and assist with the development, installation, and maintenance of new applications for general use
    • Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of software intended to improve the quality and efficiency of work performed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD POSSESS:

    • Oracle HCM or other HRIS knowledge preferred but not required.
    • Ability to pull data from the HRIS database or other programs for reporting
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel is needed
    • Strong computer, time management and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication (oral and written), attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
    • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
    • Capability to learn new software and systems by reading and understanding technical manuals and instructions

    BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to learn systems quickly.  Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship 
    •  Ability to work effectively in the office and remotely depending on departmental needs and requirements

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    Associates degree or higher in computer science, Information Systems or another related science or engineering discipline 

    ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES:

    Experience with Oracle HCM and/or other Payroll and Accounting programs preferred but not required

    ABILITY AND/OR SKILLS:

    Strong organization skills and attention to detail, willingness to work overtime, ability to work independently, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office; advance Excel skills preferred, must be able to maintain confidential information.
