    Job Description

    MICROSOFT WINDOWS DESKTOP ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

    • Leads and supports all technical deployment activities to ensure proper technology assets and applications are deployed
    • Develops and packages operating systems and applications within Ivanti (RES) Automation and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit for Windows Operating Systems
    • Applies operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes to deployment tools
    • Evaluates and recommends upgrades to existing desktop technologies
    • Monitors incidents within Eurofins ticketing system and assists with escalations and complex incidents as needed to maintain SLA
    • Supports fast-moving, large scale corporate technical projects with testing, device planning, and scalable technical configuration
    • Ensures that stakeholders and sponsors are appropriately informed on project status as required
    • Communicates to stakeholders and IT regarding system operations and planned environment changes
    • Plans, designs, socializes, and implements solution standards that can be deployed across the organization
    • Leads, participate and influence others in the development and implementation of specific desktop solutions
    • Continuously develops technical subject matter expertise on established and emerging desktop and other device technologies
    • Mentors teammates on established and emerging desktop and other device technologies
    • Configures test users and computers OU and GPO objects
    • Active directory user configuration and troubleshooting
    • Ability to read, write and maintain advanced scripts using modern languages like PowerShell and VB
    • Create and update technical documentation

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD POSSESS:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate with individuals with all levels of technical and non-technical skill sets (i.e. Developers, Project Managers, and external Customers);
    • The ability to work independently and as part of a team with a courteous and professional attitude;
    • Must display the ability to interact effectively in a cross-functional and international team; maintaining and leveraging strong work relationships
    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills;
    • Software troubleshooting ability for problem research and error isolation;
    • Good listening skills; problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple projects/clients at once in a fast-paced environment;
    • The ability to handle objections and counter professionally; Must exhibit excellent judgment and independent decision-making skills
    • Must execute with high quality
    • Must operate in high-pressure situations and successfully handle multiple priorities
    • Must display strong organizational skills
    • Must have the technical aptitude to learn, apply and solve technological solutions and/or challenges;
    • Must be willing to spend the time necessary to achieve and maintain a high level of technical proficiency;
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
    • Must have experience working with PC based hardware, software and networking components;
    • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Requires 6+ years’ experience in a similar technical position for an organization with multiple locations
    • Requires 3+ years’ experience using enterprise asset mgmt. systems such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
    • Familiarity with application deployment tools and imaging
    • Familiarity with VPN and other remote tools
    • Familiarity using 3rd party remote access tools to troubleshoot remote user’s incidents
