    Job Description

    EAG Laboratories, a global scientific services company with 17 locations and 600+ employees is seeking a Reliability Engineer to work on a temporary contract at our lab located in Irvine, CA. This position is an opportunity to work with a variety of electromechanical test systems and customers to grow EAG. EAG provides stress-based reliability qualification and knowledge-based reliability qualification methodologies based on industry standards in support of our client’s need to achieve high quality and reliable products.

    In the position, the Reliability Engineer will be responsible for:

    • Reviewing, developing, and managing reliability test plans and conditions with customers.
    • Interfacing with customers on technical reliability issues/concerns
    • Defining hardware and software requirements for reliability stress tests such as HTOL, HAST, THB, PTC
    • Performing complex electromechanical analysis and problem solving on a routine basis to solve problems
    • Performing initial validation, debug, and startup of HTOL, Biased HAST, THB, PTC reliability stresses
    • Working with PCB group to define design requirements for hardware to be used for reliability stresses such as HTOL, HAST, THB, PTC
    • Reviewing reliability group quality documents and makes changes where appropriate.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BSEE in electrical and software discipline or equivalent 5+ years’ work experience
    • Strong analytical and debug skill of hardware and software.
    • Proficient in the use of instruments; DMM, Oscilloscope, etc.
    • Experienced developing DOEs and analysis of results.
    • Strong communication skills to peers, managers, program managers, and customers.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines while working on multiple projects.
    • Project estimation for time, material costs, and schedule.
    • Team player, fast learner, assertive. Requires little supervision.
    • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and modify plans as requirements dictate.
    • Excellent organizational and computer skills, strong word processing, database management and spreadsheet skills.
    • Must be able to lift electronic boards weighing up to 50 lbs.

    The following items are not required but would be considered a positive:

    • MCC and INCAL burn-in board pattern conversion and board debug experience

    • Hardware design for reliability test solutions.

    • Knowledge of Linux and programming languages such as Python, C/C++

    • Knowledge in reliability stress testing, systems, techniques, and industry standards such as JEDEC and AEC-Q100

    • Converting pattern files provided by customers to work on HTOL chambers such as INCAL and MCC

    • Developing scripts to automate the conversion

    • Performing test, debug, repair of complex electromechanical equipment, fixtures, and instrument systems
