EAG is hiring for a Dual Beam FIB technician to join our Advanced Imaging group at our Sunnyvale, CA lab. The Senior Technician will contribute to the group by providing high-quality FIB TEM cross sections, SEM images, and sound technical advice.  

NOTE THIS POSITION WILL TO WORK; 4 DAY, 10 HOURS SHIFT STARTING AT 5:00AM. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure tools are in proper working order and contacting FEI service organization for support as needed. 
• Familiarity with FIB conductive coatings and other capping materials.
• Work closely with TEM engineers to provide specified cross sections and images.
• Manages their time carefully to optimize workflow through the Dual Beam 820 FIB.
• Follows established safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Requirements of the Technology Control Plan are followed at all times to ensure export control compliance
• Ensures compliance with quality system documents and processes
• Maintains specified records of test data and ensures Good Documentation Practices
• Protects confidential information and proprietary processes

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

• A.A. degree
• 2 Years working experience in a Scanning Electron Microscopy or Physical Failure Analysis Laboratory
• Experience preparing samples for TEM analysis.
• Prior experience with FEI dual beams is a plus.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

• Must be capable of making sound technical decisions about approaches to FIB TEM cross sectioning and SEM imaging.
• Computer literate, high level of accuracy and detail oriented.  Must be able to handle multiple functions at the same time and maintain good organizational skills.
• Must be a proficient communicator and listener.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to work individually and as part of a team.
• Good written communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Has no direct supervisory responsibility, though may provide technical direction to other FIB TEM team members.
