Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for Summer Interns to work in Easton, MD.

We are looking for individuals that are interested in laboratory research in Analytical /Product Chemistry or Ecotoxicology including Aquatics, Avian, and Plants & Insects.  Completes work for research and development under CGMP and/or GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.  This temporary intern position is designed to provide an environment to develop qualified individuals and to complete our demanding research goals.  Successful candidates will be essential participants in all aspects of trial work for which appropriate training will be provided. This internship program was developed as a feeder system for future Eurofins employees. This internship is a great opportunity to obtain experience for people interested in a career in Chemistry and/or Ecotoxicology.

• Full time position, $13/hour 
• 40 hours per week, overtime as needed
• Preferred employment dates: early May to late August/early September
• Depending on area of assignment work will include: 
• May analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties.
• Performs analysis, first level, and peer review of data for accuracy and completeness.
• Conducts title/skill appropriate procedures with minimal supervision using laboratory equipment, computer resources, and institutional libraries.
• Training provided to conduct: Research compliant with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.
• Based on performance, return employment is possible

Qualifications

• Good academic standing with freshman – senior status
• Ability to pay attention to details, work independently and efficiently
• Background in Chemistry, Agronomy, Ecotoxicology or Biology is helpful, but not required
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is temporary with full-time hours, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm,with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply.
