POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Operations plans and directs an organization's operational objectives, and initiatives. Develops strategies and deploys tactics to attain short- and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals. Executes organizational strategies. Implements operational processes to meet the needs of the business, produce sustainable growth, and mitigate risk. Evaluates operational performance results against organizational goals. Develops operating budgets. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal standards and regulations.

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure a safe labor environment is provided to our valued TEAM members at all times.
• Ensure our cultural pillars are observed at all levels of the organization of areas assigned.
• Drive the successful performance and delivery of the organization – lead and drive execution across locations and areas of responsibility.
• Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes to deliver results according to forecast.
• Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities.
• Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
• Report to the Chief Operations Officer on a regular basis regarding safety, operations and other key process indicators in business unit assigned.
• Audit work sites to ensure best practices are in place and operations are running in control.
• Ensure locations assigned are running according to installed capacity to maximize revenue.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor or BS degree in a Technical or Business field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• MBA preferred
• Strong Technical acumen in manufacturing sector.  Food Manufacturing preferred.
• Deep understanding and/or experience in lean production systems, process excellence and performance improvement tools, techniques, and concepts.
• Experience working in food manufacturing and industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to ensure business is conducted in a professional way and clear objectives and expectations are understood at all levels of the business unit assigned.
• Ability to interact with and influence broad spectrum of leaders and colleagues.
• Experience in coaching and developing large teams.
• Able to effectively hold people accountable even if in senior or peer relationships.
• Acts decisively.
• Proven ability to take on and solve complex problems independently.
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·       Sitting 50% of the time and Standing 50%.

·       Able to perform repetitive task.

·       Able to walk, stand, reach, bend, climb, push, pull, and stoup.

·       Able to lift up to 40 lbs. in weight.

·       Able to work in wet, dry, cold and hot environments.

·       Able to travel and visit locations as needed.
