    Your new role

    As our new Document Control Specialist, you will support our EPCM projects (engineering, procurement, construction management) throughout the United States. The candidate would ideally be located locally and report to our Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Tampa, FL, Houston, TX, and Syracuse, NY offices. However, remote working locations will be heavily considered. This position will work within our Project Services Group to support engineers, project managers, construction managers, and other project team members. Document Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the company document control system and assisting with the continuing development of the automated document control program. Work will include implementing of document control process including document control plan, digital delivery execution, document distribution matrix, engineering deliverables and reviews, vendor and subcontractor submittals, construction documentation, contract documentation, and organization of project records/archives. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently, have the willingness to learn and grow at a fast pace, and desire to work in the engineering and construction fields. .

    Your key responsibilities will be:

    • Create and coordinate document control plan(s).

    • Create and coordinate digital delivery execution plan(s).

    • Receives all deliverables and logs them into the document control system, then creates and distributes transmittals to the clients, vendors, and project personnel.

    • Administrate project document review and approval processes.

    • Audit and maintain compliance with company’s document control processes and standards.

    • Distribution of engineering, procurement, vendor, equipment, and construction documentation.

    • Maintain accurate and up to date document review, receipt and distribute information to project team members using the document distribution matrix.

    • Maintain database of all project documentation for traceability and reporting.

    • Interface with Engineering, Project Management and Construction Management teams to efficiently submit documents to internal and external parties.

    • Identify improvements to the Document Control System.

    • Maintain master, obsolete and archive files (electronic).

    • Assign document numbers as needed according to project numbering system.

    These include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a Business Administration, Engineering discipline, or Construction Management, plus 3-5 relevant years of experience, or an associate degree in applied science plus 5+ years of experience, or 10+ years of engineering or construction experience.

    • Strong organizational and data management skills.

    • Experience in the engineering and/or construction industry.

    • Experience in electronic document management platforms, AutoDesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM360 is highly preferred.

    • Understanding of the basics of the engineering/design and construction process.

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and cloud interface for file storage, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.

    • Open mindedness and willingness to learn.

    • Motivated, hard-working, and desire to succeed.

    • Some travel may be required.

    • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
