Job Description

The successful candidate for the Research Associate II position will join the Beacon Discovery team with a multifaceted approach for providing high value services based on the Beacon Discovery platform and other proprietary technologies. The position provides an outstanding opportunity to learn new techniques and develop skills within a dynamic in vivo pharmacology research team. We work with multiple animal models, from anxiety to metabolism and beyond. • Perform rodent based in vivo studies including animal handling, dosing, and observation. 
• Design and perform studies from initial planning through data analysis and documentation in collaboration with management. 
• Perform complementary in vitro assays such as ELISAs
• Work independently and communicate efficiently with management
• Work effectively in a team setting and enjoy collaboration with others
• Perform tests accurately and document work clearly and completely
• Present experimental data in team meetings
• Read scientific literature and engage with project teams

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related academic or industry experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences or related discipline.
• Must be detailed-orientated and consistent in experimental approach.
• Must be team-oriented and experienced working with other scientists.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
