    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accountable for accuracy in preparation and management of test compounds, plating, etc. to provide support for timely completion of HTS and ad hoc projects.
    • Coordinate junior staff activities & cross-training efforts.
    • Perform lab operations required for project completion. SME for ECHO acoustic dispenser
    • Accountable for improving current processes to support business objectives such as improved TAT and accuracy.
    • Improve reference compound management.
    • Foster inter-team relationships to enhance capabilities and adaptability. Support other screening sites collaboratively including learning best practices that can be applied to improve efficiency, cost reduction and increasing capacity.
    • Manage instrument QC/calibrations/ PM’s/ Service Contracts including freezers, liquid handlers, etc
    • Programming and operation of liquid handling equipment.
    • Participation in routine lab maintenance/ clean up.
    • Regular attendance and punctuality
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
    • Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required. 
    • Bachelor’s Degree + 5 yrs experience OR higher degree + 2 years experience
    • Experience with lab automation strongly desired (liquid handlers / plate readers, robotics).
    • Experience with databases and Spotfire preferred
    • While leading training sessions & daily overviews
    • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, especially Excel
    • Ability to calculate molarity and prepare testing samples from stock solutions or powders
    • Must be detailed oriented and consistent in experimental approach
    • Must be team-oriented and work well with others
    • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be comfortable and experienced working in a commercially focused lab environment
    • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with databases preferable
