Job Description

As an entry level Software Developer, your mission will be to plan, analyze, evaluate, design, implement, and support software and technology-based solutions to support the business objectives of the company. We are strongly interested in self-motivated individuals who have passion to learn and grow with our company.  Key to success in this position is the desire to develop creative solutions and resolve challenging problems while working through multiple functional groups within the organization. This position will directly report to the VP of Systems Development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement new software applications.
• Participate in team software development projects
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software applications.
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
• Design, implement, and maintain relational databases.
• Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs.
• Maintain knowledge of current techniques and technologies
• Build secure code and stay vigilant of any potential security threat
• Meet product release deadlines.
• Work with various internal departments to automate processes
• Work with other business units, customers, payers, or government agencies to maintain and develop systems where needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of developing C# applications using Visual Studio is preferred. 
• Knowledge of object-oriented design and development skills.
• Familiar with SQL queries for SQL Server or another relational database is preferred.
• Familiar with Software as a Service (SaaS) model in the online environment.
• Basic understanding of the software life cycle.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies preferred
• Effective troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level initiative, accountability, and detail orientation.
