    Job Description

    Lucid Hearing®, an industry leader and innovator in the fields of hearing testing, enhancement and protection, is looking for an Electronics Technician to fill an opportunity in Elk Grove Village, IL. 

    The candidate will assist a multi-disciplinary team of engineers with the design and development of innovative hearing-related products. Tasks will include prototyping, troubleshooting, testing and documentation. The candidate must be capable of taking responsibility for complex tasks and working independently with a minimum of supervision. A well developed set of technical skills and practical experience will be required – this position is not appropriate for entry-level candidates. Highly skilled and competent candidates will have an opportunity for further advancement. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with prototype fabrication, evaluation and refinement
    • Assist with design verification tasks including electrical and electroacoustic testing, reliability testing, and first article inspections
    • Work within an ISO13485 Medical Device Quality System, supporting quality management and documentation tasks
    • Provide troubleshooting and rework support for existing products

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Competency with basic lab equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, etc.)
    • Competency with standard office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Soldering competency

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Moderate to high-level soldering skills, particularly with small parts
    • Competency working with a microscope to inspect and fabricate assemblies consisting of very small parts
    • Experience with high-fidelity rapid prototyping systems (additive manufacturing and CNC in particular)
    • Experience with SolidWorks CAD software
    • Experience working within a quality management system
