Job Description
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, The IT Manager will be responsible for maintaining smooth operations of all company networks, user PC’s, systems and applications and have the responsibility of recommending new technologies and systems. This is a hands on, single contributor position with room for career growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The IT Manager will be responsible for executing IT enterprise infrastructure, including network (including WAN, LAN, Wireless, SDWAN, switching, routing, VPNs and firewalls Office 365 and user applications), compute, storage, virtualization, database, directory, authentication, monitoring, identity, access and remote access services.
Support Window’s and MAC user PC’s and peripherals
Support Production Floor IT needs and activities
Identify opportunities for improvements, expansion, and/or reduction of services that meet the changing needs of the enterprise.
Define and manage IT Disaster Recovery Strategy and manage backups, to ensure business continuity.
Report and prepare strategies to develop server infrastructure.
Manage and Maintain system security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures and access controls.
Manage user accounts, licenses and distribution lists.
Perform problem diagnosis on hardware, operating system, and/or applications.
Oversee operational costs for IT Department
Manage the IT Infrastructure resources, including drafting and executing its budget, developing its organizational structure.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the business.
Define software and hardware standards in collaboration with stakeholders and owners.
Develop an IT strategy map and assist with identifying and creating IT policies.
Work closely with our outsourced Help desk provider and provide technical support to users as needed.
Maintain professional business relations with users and outside contacts.
Keep abreast of new developments and trends. Make recommendations on desirable additions or replacements.
Develop IT services and solutions to effectively meet future needs of users. Ensure that IT services are seamless, transparent and effectively delivered, and that problems are promptly resolved. Coordinate IT activities with other departments.
Troubleshoot and make minor repairs to hardware.
Provide ongoing training and support to optimize staff knowledge and use of software systems.
