Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Applies GMP/GLP/ISO in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Applies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Demonstrates strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
• Proactively plans and multitasks to maximize productivity
• Meets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Performs routine sample prep and analyses in support of product assessment and quality control on tobacco products utilizing one or more of the following instruments: GC, FID, mass spectrometry, or other special purpose equipment and/or multiple wet chemistry techniques and physical testing techniques
• Documents results accurately in notebooks and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Performs instrument calibration, recognizes errors, identifies root causes, and applies process improvements
• Assists in updating SOP's as needed
• Provide analyses support to method validation as needed
• Adheres to highest quality standards; ensures compliance with quality system requirements
• Communicates effectively with client staff members
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD POSSESS:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science; GMP experience a plus; experience in the tobacco industry a plus
• Experience in regulated environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least two years related laboratory experience
