Job Description

• Support formulation activities including characterization and optimization
• Develop novel methodologies to enable delivery of RNA-based therapies to specific tissues
• Run assays to characterize novel formulations to facilitate physical characterization of novel formulations.
• Provide formulations for in vivo and in vitro studies
• Serve as a member of integrated team responsible for the discovery and development of RNA-based therapies
• Design and execute experiments in a laboratory setting and/or mathematical models
• Communicate appropriately to other functions to enable fast implementation of drug delivery platforms for RNA-based therapies
• Generate SOPs
• Demonstrate a willingness to promote a collaborative, team-based approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor with 2 years of experience or Masters with 0 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related disciplines
• good background in drug delivery with a focus on nucleic acid delivery. research track in the design of tissue-specific drug delivery technologies.
• Understanding of RNA-based therapies and prior experience with oligonucleotides is a plus
• Prior experience with formulation processes, encapsulation methods, lipid nanoparticles (LNP) formulations or other RNA-suitable drug delivery methods is preferred
• Prior experience using aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture
• Capable of performing process development and optimization
• Ability to work independently
• Prior experience with characterization techniques, design of experiments, and statistics is desired
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative research environment
• Excellent oral communication and documentation skills
