Job Description

·         Participates in writing of organism evaluation reports and organism factsheets

·         May participate in the writing of change controls

·         May participate in microbiology validation projects and studies

·         May participate in sampling including environmental monitoring, water sampling, and gas sampling of new areas

·         Participates in the writing of technical reports

·         May participate in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.

·         Revises control test procedures and SOPs

·         Participates in training of other employees.

·         May use Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample tracking and trending.

·         May perform acceptance testing of commercially prepared microbiological culture media.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent or a High School diploma with relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries

• Endotoxin testing experience

• Experience with LIMS preferred

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

• Microbial identification procedure knowledge

• Working Knowledge of cGMP

• Experience working in an aseptic environment 

• Technical writing experience 

• Bioburden testing

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
