Job Description

• Participates in microbiology validation including bioburden and endotoxin validation
• Support validation testing with plate reads, pH and bioburden validation
• Participates in the writing of technical reports
• Maintains laboratory supplies, media, and reagents inventory.
• Maintains sample inventory
• Participates in training of other employees.
• May perform acceptance testing of commercially prepared microbiological culture media.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences
• 1-2 years experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
• BSC experience
• Environmental monitoring experience preferred
• Microbial identification procedure knowledge
• 1-2 years in cGMP
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Additional Information

Position is full-time, 1st shift Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.

• Base compensation is $19-$24 per hour based on experience.
• 2nd and 3rd shift positions will add a 10% and 15% differential to the base pay.
